Today was a great ride- 80 miles with a 17.3 mph average
speed. We’re at Meadow Grove Baptist Church in Brandon, MS. Tonight they
provided Sony’s BBQ and we attended Wednesday services where we spoke before
the congregation. Tomorrow morning they are providing a hot breakfast.
The Fuller Center for
Housing isn’t a household name, so we’re getting a lot of interest and
enthusiasm wherever we go by groups interested in forming new Covenant
Partners. The Fuller Center Covenant Partners provide toward the mission of the
foundation while maintaining autonomy; each is associated with the parent foundation
and is free to provide as they deem necessary in their communities with minimal
supervision from the home office.
Tomorrow we cross from Vicksburg Mississippi into Tallulah
Louisiana via the old Hwy 80 Bridge. It’s a decommissioned bridge and we have to
sign a release to use it. Just another day of adventure.
